Soil completing the foundations |
With the foundations only days away from being finished, it is time for Big John to start fine-tuning the later stages of construction. From the first set of photos you can see brick walls demarcating each room but now these sections are filled with soil for workers to then lay the concrete, therein completing the foundations.
Engineer Toni is in charge of paying his labourers and managing the site, while it is Big John who"shops around" to source all the materials. Yesterday we met with the roofing specialist from a large company in Jinja on site who provided us with this quote:
