At the beginning of January I gave the Kidron Director, John a total of USD$5,000. Kids World Wide had provided the orphanage with receipt and ledger books so to ensure a high level of accountability we agreed that all transactions no matter how small would be recorded and supported with receipts. That way, Steph and I can be assured of full transparency when we arrive a month later. Going to visit the school gives us the opportunity to check that the 60 steel poles he recorded are indeed at the school.
Today, John sent me these photos showing the preliminary work at the site of the orphan home.
